Don't Go Finishing The Week Without Hearing These Six Tracks

Once again, there's too much new music out today for one individual to compute so we've used our brains so you don't have to use yours.

Terror Jr - Little White Bars

Terror Jr, the pop group that may or may not be fronted by Kylie Jenner, have dropped their debut project Bop City today and it's, well, bop city. It's full of sugary pop jams and the opener Little White Bars is the most sugar of them all. It's slithery but still glitchy and electronic which, as it turns out, is the perfect mix.

Jai Wolf - Like It's Over (Feat. MNDR)

It’s a big week for fans of New York wunderkind Jai Wolf, with the producer announcing his debut EP and releasing his massive new single with MNDR, Like It’s Over. Premiering on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, Like It’s Over is a glittering track ready-made for the comedown on a hot summer night.

The two linked up after Jai Wolf heard MNDR star on Flume’s Like Water and this track is sure to please fans of that collaboration. MNDR’s powerful vocals have an uncanny ability to turn any song into a stirring, emotional experience and she delivers here once more.

Like It’s Over improves upon the sound we’ve heard on Drive and Indian Summer, Wolf distorts and filters MNDR’s vocals in call to the Desi influence embedded in his music and employs some sparkling keys that gorgeously guide the track.

His debut EP Kindred Spirits releases November 18. - Reece Hooker

    Joey Bada$$ - Front & Center

So many people have been remixing the Stranger Things theme that they almost forgot that other Netflix shows exist. Thank god Joey Bada$$ knows that, using the Narcos theme to create a weird and wonky rap track with a South American flavour to it. It's a total jam and it makes us feel like Pablo.

    Jay Prince - Father, Father

You just don't get hip-hop with this much gospel flavour to it these days. British MC Jay Prince is taking us back to early Kanye with his choir-sampling anthem Father, Father. It's taken from his new project Smile Good which was released today and is equally as excellent as this tune and a half.

D.R.A.M. - WiFi (Feat. Erykah Badu)

Leave it to D.R.A.M. and soul queen Erykah Badu to make a love song revolving around WiFi. It's a duet for the technology age with D.R.A.M. asking Badu if she has good WiFi. Thankfully she does and she gives it to him in one of our favourite lyrics of his new album Big Baby D.R.A.M. - "Boy I got WiFi...let me know where your iPhone at to log on my WiFi."

    Justice - Alakazam!

Leave it to Justice to provide you with the winding, five minute jam of the week. Alakazam! has been plucked from their forthcoming record Woman and it's an interplanetary journey driven by funky bass and thick, grinding synths. Woman will be release 18th November, an oh God, why can't it be sooner?

    Tkay Maidza - Simulation

Because there ain't no party like a Tkay party. TKAY is out Friday and have you ever heard a banger bigger than this?
