Music Video Premiere! Marcus - Trees

We don't do a lot of music video premieres around these parts but when we were asked recently if we'd like to roll out the brand new vid for Australian rap cat Marcus we fired back a quick and resounding YES PLS.

For those unaware, and at this early stage in his career there will probably be a few of you, Marcus is a humble, no nonsense rapper from Melbourne that burst on to our rap radar after seeing his LIVE AS F*#K live show earlier this year. There was something really special about it as it had an almost early 90s US east-coast vibe to it especially when Marcus was surrounded by his 90's RD homies (Baro, Charlie Threads, Sol'Manic, Nast Nars etc).

The young emcee manages to toe the line perfectly between the original rawness of OG Australian hip hop and also the new school local movement as it has a little more of an international appeal to it. Combining effortless flow, with top shelf metaphors and the wittiest of wordplay, his undeniable talent has a lot of peeps taking notice, including local legend Illy who we saw at the aforementioned show in full on head nod mode.

You'll no doubt be hearing A LOT more from Marcus in the near future and we're pretty stoked to roll (pun intended) out the video for the latest single Trees off his Pizza For Breakfast, Cereal at 3AM mixtape.
