While you were sipping Champagne and feasting on left-over Christmas ham some of us still had our finger on the pulse, thank goodness, and we've put together a few essential releases that you need to catch up on ASAP.

    Run The Jewels' Third Album

Run The Jewels RTJ3 was meant to come out in January but on Christmas Day they decided to drop us an early gift, giving us the entire record. It was probably the best Christmas present we recieved byt JIC you missed it, it's great and you should get on it immediately. The first four songs roll through from one to the next with fierce precision, making us very excited early on in the record. It's political, radical and raucuous - everything we love in an RTJ record.

    Big Sean's New Single Move

Big Sean announced his fourth album I Decided over the holiday period and also dropped a new single Moves. It's a slick, club anthem that's likely to emulate the early success of previous single Bounce Back. He's on fire right now and this album is going to bring some serious heat when it drops on 3rd February.

    Snakehips' Collab With MØ

Snakehips sneakily dropped a new single this morning pulling in one of the biggest names in pop music right now MØ. It's a slow-moving, power ballad textured with their trademark production. MØ's voice soars and certifies that this will be another hit for both pairs.

The xx's Next Single Off I See You, Say Something Loving

13th January is when the xx are dropping their third album I See You and plenty of people are excited thanks to this latest drop Say Something Loving. The slow, heartwarming track perfectly blends together Romy and Oliver's voices proving that they're working better than ever as a team right now. It's really, very bloody hard not to love these guys.

London Grammar's First Taste Of A New Record Rooting For You

British trio London Grammar were in Australia playing Falls Festival when they dropped this newie, the first since their 2013 debut record. Rooting For You is the most brooding ballad they've ever released, taking full advantage of those unbelievable vocals. Get the tissues ready, this one's a tear-jerker.

Kehlani's Next Drop From Her Forthcoming Record SweetSexySavage

Kehlani's forthcoming album is shaping up very nicely with today's addition of a new single Undercover. It's a fuck-the-haters anthem, the type that Kehalni does best, driven by those silky, effortless vocals. It's yet another dimension to the album which is out 27th January.

Cashmere Cat's Party Anthem Throw Myself A Party

Cashmere Cat managed to pull in Selena Gomez, Tory Lanez and The Weeknd on his last few singles and for this one, dropped late last year, he's found some more famous names. Lanez pops up again alongside 2 Chainz and superstar songwriter Starrah. Together, they've penned a hit for solo parties.

A New Single By The Shins Name For You

The Shins are edging closer and closer to the release of the album and they've followed up last year's solid Dead Alive with a similarly steady release Name For You. It's classic Shins sure to delight OG fans.
