Lil Yachty's 'Teenage Emotions' Is Confusing And Dividing Everybody

Lil Yachty's debut album Teenage Emotions dropped on Friday and it seems to be the most divisive album of the year.

At a mammoth 22 tracks long, it's a monster of a project and it traverses many different genres from pop to rap. Yachty was already a controversial character but this album seems to have taken his profile to new heights, and not for all the right reasons.

The reviews from media and the internet are flooding in and, they're just as confusing as Yachty thinking a cello was a woodwind instrument.

Rolling Stone think that the album "might change the way people rap," meanwhile The Guardian gave a most favourable review saying it was, "a deeply millennial take," on hip-hop.

Pitchfork was also pretty positive writing, "It’s there to be gawked at and appreciated, and then maybe enjoyed."

While the critics seem to be giving it a pretty good wrap, some on social media are not being quite as kind.

Yachty has one of the strongest fanbases in the game though and there are plenty that are not only defending the record but calling it one of the best of the year.

All these opinions swelling and yet Yachty doesn't really care what you have to say
