Police in Dunedin, New Zealand have said that broadcasts of N.W.A.'s 1988 classic Fuck The Police over the police scanner are putting people "in danger".
As the Otago Daily Times reports, non-police members have been transmitting various versions of the song over the police scanner, interrupting police communication.
In one instance, police were responding to a man pointing a gun at a motorist when the coordination of their police response was interrupted by the song.
"There's no question that if it carries on and if they do what they're doing it will delay a response," he said.
The song has been played multiple times over the police radios, including a version by Rage Against The Machine.
