    Kendrick Lamar has revealed the first concert he ever went to and it turns out it was his own.

    He spoke to Billboard for a new cover story revealing that he'd never been to a gig before he started playing his own shows.

    Back then, we didn’t have the money for it," he said when asked what live acts inspired him growing up.

    "When I went on tour with The Game [and Jay Rock, in 2006] -- that was my first show."

    He continued on saying, "That shit cost money. Gas money. Me being onstage is me fulfilling two different things - performing and getting to enjoy it like the people enjoying it."

    To be fair, a Kendrick concert as your first concert is not a bad thing at all. Even better, if you're Kendrick at a Kendrick concert.

    So, if you haven't ever been to a gig, keep the faith that your first gig may be your own.
