Cardi B has had a phenomenal year and while some are attempting to call her a one hit wonder, she’s now the first female rapper to have her first three charting songs reach the top 10 in the US. With Bartier Cardi just out, it seems she’s not stopping anytime soon.
Bartier Cardi
It was always going to be hard to follow-up Bodak Yellow but Cardi did it with Bartier Cardi. It sees Cardi back at her most confident and cocky, crafting a party anthem that has just as much potential to go off in a club as Bodak Yellow does. In fact, this one’s going to have everyone chanting her name.
La Modela (W/ Ozuna)
La Modela sees Cardi team up with budding Latin star Ozuna for a song that has serious potential to match the success of Despacito. It’s an effortlessly cool track that sees Cardi deliver the hook in Latin. She then comes through at the end with an English verse showing just how diverse she is.
Motorsport (W/ Migos & Nicki Minaj)
Motorsport may be the first single off Migos’ forthcoming album Culture II but let’s be honest, it’s all about Cardi and Nicki Minaj. We didn’t expect to see the pair teaming up but we’re glad it happened because they both steal the show here with memorable line after memorable line. Cardi, labelling herself the “trap Selena” is particularly note-worthy.
No Limit (W/ G Eazy)
No Limit sees Cardi matched with A$AP Rocky, G-Eazy and more but she’s goes bigger. Her hook is delectable and enormous and while the others try to match her intensity and ferocity they just fall a little bit short. She has us re-winding and fast-forwarding to her bits in the video too.
Bodak Yellow
If you don’t know this song by know then honestly you’ve fallen off. This was her breakthrough moment and a song that spread like wildfire. Not because of a meme or because of radio play but because everyone turned up every time it was played no matter where it was.
