There’s no doubt that it has been a barnstormingly brilliant year for nu-toons and I played a wee bar the other day in a 2015 theme which pulled out ‘all the bangers’ if I may so myself. So what else to do but share it with my long lost Cool Accidents family as a Spotify playlist. (Let’s hope the RT bosses don’t see this or I might cop some stick!) From the dancefloor anthems of Hot Chip and Romare to the girl power of Wolf Alice and Nadine Shah to the homegrown Holy Holy and the heartbreaking plucking of Steve Gunn and Sun Kil Moon.

Go on light up that repeat button and envisage yourself in a dive bar in Shoreditch with me flipping the wax on the 1210s with a craft in hand. Who’ll ever know you weren’t there?
