It's been a long time since Adele released her last album. Five years to be exact and in that time she's turned 30 and separated with her husband who she had a child with.
That last point alone had some sickos manifesting an Adele album full of heartbreak ballads but it seems we're still a while off hearing it.
There were rumours circling the internet that the project would drop in September. Those rumours were started by the singer herself who reportedly revealed the news at a friend's wedding.
Now, her manager has stepped in to tell people that it's not happening,
"It isn’t coming in September, it’ll be ready when it’s ready," Jonathan Dickins told Music Week.
He revealed that there is "music" but "we're still working," and it seems COVID-19 had something to do with the delay.
“We’re all in the same boat, you’re doing stuff and then all of a sudden, the world stops."
Thanks a lot Corona, just when you've put us in a situation where we're ripe and ready for an album full of sad ballads you pull it away from us.
Naturally, the internet isn't coping either.
