What does the future of music look like? If you're someone that is a big believer in technology, you might think that AI is somehow going to be involved.
Well, coder Francisco Salgado has taken a look into the future, and made a website that generates AI rappers and their lyrics. Spooky.
He trained the AI using real rappers' faces and lyrics, and the results are pretty spot on. Each time you refresh the website, you get a new rapper's face, name and lyrics. We got artists like Poppa G, Green Keef and Lil Slime, all of which you could probably convince us are actual rappers.
These AI rappers would be spitting some heat if they existed, and to prove our point, here are some bars from Poppa G: "Peep game, come take a shot/Yep, hope that bitch a trilogy/Nature/Stereotypes of a problem/If Young Metro don't trust you/I'm a legend/Then-then-then-then that's your kid love/Cuh the amount of time, I line them up like the way that I'll catch up". Hard, if a bit nonsensical.
If you're interested in how Francisco trained the AI, you can find out here. It's an interesting read, and it turns out that the bot has a bit of a bias towards DJ Khaled, which he says is because Khaled "has an unhealthy amount of Instagram posts (33k) and most of them are selfies". If you ask us, there are never too many DJ Khaled selfies in the world.
