It's called Akon City, and it's only a five-minute drive from Senegal's new international airport, so it's easy to get there.
He announced the agreement deal on Twitter - which is totally how we'd do it if we were building a city named after us.

It's not just any old city, either, with the city to trade exclusively in Akon's own digital cash currency Akoin, which, according to the website, will be available Africa-wide.
Akon City is set to be built on a 2,000-acre plot of land that Akon says was gifted to him by the President of Senegal.
He has also said that it'll take 10 years to build, telling Nick Cannon back in December during an interview that “It’s a 10-year building block so we’re doing it in stages. We started construction in March (2019) and stage two is going to be 2025.”
