If there's one Aussie artist that has captured the consciousness of America's biggest music and celebrity figures, it's Amy Shark.
The Gold Coast singer/songwriter managed to befriend blink-182's Tom Delonge and scored Mark Hoppus on her debut album, Love Monster, Jack Antonoff of Bleachers/fun. fame co-wrote and produced a song on her album, Lena Dunham is a fan and so is old mate Russell Crowe.
Now, 2000s punk gems Wheatus have thrown their love behind Amy as her cover of their classic, Teenage Dirtbag, has aired on MTV Australia's Unplugged.
The band wrote a short but sweet tweet:

She played the cover to the masses at Splendour In The Grass this year and we loved singing along to those famous 'I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby' lines.
Amy's just played a run of Aussie headline dates with E^ST - now she's setting off for North America.
