    Off the back of his latest release Ventura, Anderson .Paak has brought the sultry, soulful Make It Better to The Ellen Show and it is gorgeous.

    Paak's so often known for his energetic stage presence and raucous "yes lawd!"s but this time, it was all smooth.

    Backed with a small orchestra, Paak took on the song sans soul legend Smokey Robinson (who features on the original), though it seemed he was able to bring the soul all on his own.

    Ventura landed just six months after last year's Oxnard, which featured the likes of Brandy, Andre 3000 and Pharrell. He even brought out Brandy to his Coachella performance, before jumping on stage during Janelle Monae's set.
