Brazilian pop superstar Anitta has teamed up with fellow music icon Milly Elliott for her latest single, the explosive Lobby.
The new track follows on from the release of Anitta's fifth album, Versions Of Me, which arrived back in April, and has already been certified Diamond in her native Brazil. Boasting an impressive five singles, the record has since been given the deluxe treatment, with the expanded version of the album set to arrive next week on August 25th.
The deluxe edition of the record will feature a handful of new tracks, including the recent single Gata, and the Maluma collaboration El Que Espera. With just one week to go until it arrives though, Anitta has given fans one final preview, teaming up with hip-hop royalty Missy Elliott for the release of Lobby.
Originally teasing the track via TikTok, Lobby is built around a seductive disco beat and thumping bassline, with its infectious chorus turning an already impressive track into a veritable pop banger when Anitta's smooth voice delivers the line "Kiss me from the roof to the lobby."
Meanwhile, Missy Elliott joins in with an inimitable flow from a verse that is likely set to be remembered as one of her finest. Taking to Instagram recently, Anitta summed up her excitement of the collaboration, sharing an image with the hop-hop queen and simply stating, "I honesty can’t believe what’s happening right now."
The release of the deluxe edition of Versions Of Me looks to serve as another chapter in an already-amazing year for Anitta, which saw her become not only the first female Brazilian solo act to perform at Coachella, but also receive the Guinness World Record as the first Latin solo artist to reach #1 on the Spotify Daily Global 100 thanks to Envolver.
Anitta also recently nabbed her first nomination at the MTV VMAs in the Best Latin category for Envolver, seeing her become the first Brazilian to be nominated for a solo project in the history of the VMAs. She's set to perform at the ceremony on August 28th, where she'll deliver a powerful version of the track.
