    When you listen to the sunny jangly sounds of Best Coast's music, you may not think that singer Bethany Cosentino and her bandmate Bobb Bruno would be influenced by bands like Metallica or blink-182, but in this episode of Diggin' In The Crates, we found out that hey, we're wrong.

    From the surf rock sounds of The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, which Beth says "everybody is supposed to own", to blink-182's silly second album Dude Ranch - "her favourite record of all time" and the record that got her into music - Beth pretty much traipses through multiple genres in three minutes. 

    She even has something funny to say about why she loves the "ridiculous" Gallagher boys of Oasis so much while pulling out their debut album, Definitely Maybe.
