A Black Lives Matter protest crowd in Los Angeles has broken out in a Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar singalong, singing the pair's 2016 collaboration Freedom.
The crowd was led by Amber Riley, a singer, dancer and actress who has starred in Glee, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Nobody's Fool.

Grabbing a microphone, Amber says "I need you all to clap and give me a beat, like a heartbeat," before she starts singing and getting everyone to sing along with her, amplifying each other's voices.
Freedom is a particularly apt choice for a protest song, given the song is an empowering track touching on both the historical crimes committed against African Americans through slavery, as well as current-day racism of racial profiling and police brutality.
Check out the singalong, and the original song, below. It's a powerful song, made even more powerful being sung by many.
