Cardi B loves being open with fans, and she's taken to Twitter to reveal that when it comes to making a huge music video like WAP, her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, you've got to be ready to invest.

Cardi tweeted that the video for WAP cost "a M", aka $1 million. However, it's fair to say that it was worth it, with the video setting records all over the place, as well as helping the song reach the top of the charts.

It featured cameos from the likes of Kylie Jenner, Normani, Rosalía and more, and became one of the biggest music moments of 2020.

It's looking like WAP will do pretty well in this year's Hottest 100, given how big the track (and the video) was last year, so make sure you get your votes in by Monday  January 18th.

Cardi also revealed that the video for Bodak Yellow cost only $15,000USD. Given it was the track that set her on the path to superstardom, that seems like a great investment.

Cardi tweeted, "Fun fact : Bodak yellow music video cost me 15 thousand dollars .I was in Dubai and I said ....I gotta fly picture (videographer) out here ...BOOM BOOM BANG ! Ya know the rest ."

Cardi told a story about not wanting to appear like a "small artist" in front of her now-husband Offset on the set of the Lick music video - and she only told him about it after the fact.
