British indie pop up-and-comer Cavetown has announced plans to visit Australia for the very first time next January, off the back off 2018's Lemon Boy album and his brand new song Telescope.
The 20-year-old bedroom pop singer/songwriter (who goes by Robin Skinner on his passport) calls to mind the likes of Clairo with his confessional and stripped back songs - they've allowed him to grow a huge fanbase of over a million subscribers on YouTube as well as 2.6 million on Spotify.
He explains, “I didn’t want to write and play music just to make people feel better, that wasn’t my intention, it was more to make myself feel better, initially but the fact that, along the way, my music has helped people is really cool.”
Earlier this year he dropped a mixtape called Animal Kingdom featuring his mates Chloe Moriando and spookyghostboy - he's actually bringing spookyghostboy on this tour.
It kicks off January 15th in Melbourne, then heads to Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland until January 19th.
