There's bad news for Splendour In The Grass goers, with Chance The Rapper pulling out of the festival ahead of his closing set tomorrow night.
In a statement to fans, Chance said, "It is with great regret we announce that Chance The Rapper will not be coming to Australia to perform at Splendour in the Grass. Unfortunately, due to illness, he is unable to fly."
However, there's a bit of good news, with Australian hip-hop legends Hilltop Hoods set to close the festival instead.
Splendour co-producer Paul Piticco was asked by ABC whether the trio would be bringing their full stage so, and said, "I hope so, they literally gave us the nod a couple of hours ago."
"It's incredibly generous of them to change their plans, some were on holidays [and] had to change flights and plans."
Chance's cancellation comes after the long-awaited announcement of his new album, The Big Day, which is out at the end of the month.
