Charli XCX has dropped the video for her collab with Christine & The Queens, and oh boy.

The video for the collab, titled Gone, is directed by Colin Solal Cardo, and while we don't want to give too much away about the video (you'll just have to watch it for yourself), it features the pair atop a car, in the rain.

Speaking about the song on Instagram, Charli says it's about breaking out.

“This song is about those situations where you are surrounded by loads of people but feel so isolated and alone,” Charli XCX wrote. “I feel like that a lot of the time in social situations. I never know what to do with myself, I feel so insecure and out of place and lost. I feel like a lot of people I know get those feelings. When it comes to me, I’ll either party through it and try to escape my feelings or I will totally cave in. The emotions that come alongside anxiety are so huge and crippling. This song is about breaking down but it’s also about breaking free.”

GONE FT CHRIS DROPS TOMORROW 7.30PM UK @ANNIEMACDJ HOTTEST RECORD IN THE WORLD @BBCRADIO1 this song is about those situations where you are surrounded by loads of people but feel so isolated and alone. I feel like that a lot of the time in social situations. I never know what to do with myself, I feel so insecure and out of place and lost. I feel like a lot of people I know get those feelings. When it comes to me, I’ll either party through it and try to escape my feelings or I will totally cave in. The emotions that come alongside anxiety are so huge and crippling. This song is about breaking down but it’s also about breaking free. It feels like one big external scream. Both this song and video are a huge release of energy for me. When I hear it and when I dance to it I feel truly euphoric and alive, like I’m pushing out all the bad feelings from my brain. Its like I’m channeling all my anger and frustration (and sometimes sadness) into dancing it all away. I can’t wait for you to hear it tomorrow. Thank you to @christineandthequeens @nooniebao @lotusiv @agcook404 & @nomakmusic for being a part of this song with me. I am so obsessed with what we have created.

The track will feature on Charli's upcoming album Charli. Previously released singles Blame It On Your Love and 1999 both feature on the new album, which Charli recently revealed will be coming out on September 13th, so there's just a little while longer to wait.
