Charli XCX has been hard at work while in self-isolation on her upcoming album, how i'm feeling now, and she's revealed it's set to feature an Australian artist.
Lonelyspeck, a Adelaide producer, produced the beat for didn't want 2, which is one of the songs set to appear on the album when it comes out on May 15th.

Charli has already released the first taste of the project with forever, and given the ideas she's been showing off, music is set to continue to come thick and fast from the project.

We spoke to Lonelyspeck about didn't want 2, who says it all happened thanks to a mate. "A mutual friend put Charli onto my music and she reached out to me earlier this year. I sent her a folder of some beats and instrumentals a little while back and she said she was keen to work on some of them!" We love a success story.

They're a huge Charli XCX fan, which makes it an even bigger honour. "I love her so much! it blew my mind when she first messaged me but I'm not really one to freak out and go into fan mode. it's just really special to me that she liked my music enough to reach out because she has been such a big inspiration."

Charli's taking a very DIY approach with how i'm feeling now - holding Zoom conferences with fans, as well as continuing to share demos and snippets of songs for the album via social media, so we can't wait to see where she takes didn't want 2.
