If you hadn't already guessed by Charli XCX's first single from her new album After The Afterparty, Charli is making party music at the moment, and bloody good party music too.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, Charli referred to the record, due tentitavely in May, as "a big pop party album," and it sounds like it's going to be a wild ride.
SOPHIE is on board to take the record into a "dip-into-the-club-at–4 a.m. kind of zone" and PC Music head A.G. Cook is on board as her creative director.
"One of my favorite hobbies is partying, and I realized that I never actually made a party album," she further said about the direction of the album.
"I never made an album that I would want to hear at a club. It was very indulgent in that sense because I just wanted to make an album that I could get fucked up to. It's the soundtrack to my nights."
Finally, in May 2017, you'll have an album that you can get fucked up to. FINALLY.
