Charli XCX's currently playing a string of shows in support of her album, how i'm feeling now, and she was joined at the LA show by none other than Tkay Maidza.

Charli's clearly a fan of Tkay, telling triple j in a recent interview, “I think she's really, really a great artist and I love that song Kim that she has. She's so sick. I can't wait to watch her perform.”

Speaking about a potential collaboration, Charli says that while there's nothing planned, she'd love to make something happen. “I actually didn't know that she'd moved here [to L.A.]. So now that I know that I think it would be cool to get in the studio and do something. Because yeah, I really respect her. I think she's a great artist.”

It's not the first time the pair have performed together, as Tkay opened for Charli on her 2015 Australian tour. They also teamed up with Banoffee back in 2018 when Charli played some shows while in the country supporting Taylor Swift. Alot's changed since then for both artists, with Charli leaning more into hyper-pop sounds, and Tkay's Last Year Was Weird EP trilogy gaining international acclaim.

We're hoping that a collaboration emerges in the near future, because we think the pair would bounce off each other well on a track. Fingers crossed!
