Alabama rapper CHIKA doesn't want anyone to take her success away from her - after all, she's worked hard to earn it. 2019 saw her release a string of singles, with No Squares, High Rises and Can't Explain It all coming out, but she's preparing to start 2020 with a bang.
She's just dropped her debut EP, Industry Games, so we've taken a look at five of her best freestyles and why they've gotten so many people's attention - including some of the biggest rappers in the game.

CHIKA's freestyle over Cardi B's Money got the attention of both Cardi and Missy Elliot, with Cardi giving a shoutout to CHIKA saying she "is really a fuckin beast. She murk the Money beat!”
We can't argue with that. CHIKA rhymes about wanting to party with Cardi, as well as shaking off the negative influences in your life - people that want to mess with her better back off. She's not going to let anyone stop her rise to the top of the rap game.

Where some rappers might be happy to cruise to the end of the year, CHIKA wanted to make a statement with her last freestyle of the 2010s.
Spitting over Travis Scott's HIGHEST IN THE ROOM, she explains where she's been, and her plans for 2020. She's not been resting, quite the opposite actually. She's been hard at work in the booth, making what would turn into her debut EP, Industry Games. She feels that 2020 is set to be her year, and we can't disagree.

When CHIKA jumped on Funk Flex to freestyle, she was following a long list of rappers to appear on the show - and she gave each and every one of them a serious run for their money.
Bars like "I’m reckless, it’s everyday just like a breakfast. I ain’t have time to plan it i’m ahead of all my checklists" prove that CHIKA isn't content on being one of the best - she wants that No.1 spot at the top of the rap game. With flows like the one she showed off during this freestyle, who's going to stand in her way?
CHIKA's freestyle over J. Cole's Wet Dreams is a bit of a different, more sing-song flow, and it shows a different side of her style.
The beat definitely suits the vibe that she's adopting here, spitting about an unnamed school crush. It's less of a personal freestyle and one that appears to be more of a narrative take - which CHIKA absolutely rocks.
lol, a random freestyle from this weekend. i hope y'all like it. | wet dreams x my father, @JColeNC ? pic.twitter.com/9USM8s0Wq3

In many ways, this is the freestyle that started it all for CHIKA, as it made the world realise just how good of a rapper she was. Replying to Kanye West over his Jesus Walks beat, CHIKA goes in at Kanye over a 2018 tweet-storm, where he praised American President Donald Trump.
Speaking to TIME about the freestyle, CHIKA says, "I felt like Kanye, as someone who’s been in the industry for so long and someone who’s so respected by so many, to directly spit in the face of the people who built him up, was kind of triggering. It made me annoyed." We're glad she got annoyed, because these bars are absolutely scorching.
