Emo-pop rising star daine has just released her new single, IDC, and if you've ever caught yourself fantasising about getting revenge on those who have wronged you, then you'll enjoy this one. Even if you haven't, then you'll be able to live vicariously through daine.

The track showcases daine's love of both midwestern emo and pop, with the guitars drawing more from emo, while the rest of the production builds towards a pop climax towards the end of the song. It's a release of tension, much like the anger that can explode from a period of torment.

The music video for the track is equally as powerful as the song and was directed by Ribal Hosn. The video sees daine watching a different version of herself while she's at the cinema, with the screen showing a more confident version of daine. As daine watches herself more on the big screen, the screen version begins to take over...

IDC is the second single from daine's forthcoming debut mixtape, Quantum Jumping, which is set to be released in early 2022. Daine's described it as a "tombstone to her adolescence", and it'll also feature Cemetery Dreams, a reworked version of the first song that she ever wrote.

Check out IDC below. We're excited for what daine has in store for us with Quantum Jumping - her music captures what it's like to grow up while the world's listening, and that's part of why she's building such a dedicated fanbase.
