Dominic Fike is having one hell of a 2019, and he's proved he's got the Midas touch with a cover of Clairo's Bags for triple j's Like A Version.
Dressed in a wig and a Weezer t-shirt, he's turned the indie track into a frenetic rock song, and pulls it off with ease. It's been a great year for Like A Version, and this continues that trend.
He's already showcased his love for Weezer while in Australia, covering Say It Ain't So at his Melbourne show, to the absolute confusion of the audience, which rules.
Dominic is on a path to superstardom, and this cover is sure to be part of your summer soundtrack. Not to toot our own horn or anything, but we did mention him as part of our 10 artists to watch in 2019 list that we published at the start of the year.
However, next time, he might want to grab a better wig. Not that it looks bad, but it could have been more realistic. Just saying.
