Donald Glover is working with Amazon Studios on a new TV series, Hive, and he's called in none other than Malia Obama (Barack Obama's daughter) to help him on the show. Malia will be part of the writing staff for Hive, while Donald is set to be the show's executive producer.
Malia's been interested in Hollywood for a while now, having interned on the TV comedy Girls, as well as working on the Halle Berry drama Extant as a production assistant.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the potential TV series is part of Donald's newly-signed deal with Amazon Studios, and is set to feature a Beyoncé-type figure. It's been created by writer Janine Nabers, who also worked on Watchmen.
TBH, this feels like when two worlds collide. Donald is a superstar of music and TV, while Malia is the daughter of former US President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, and is also set to graduate from Harvard University very, very soon.
Donald was also recently announced as being attached to a TV series based on the movie Mr. And Mrs. Smith. He'll be starring alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge, with the show potentially dropping in 2022.
