It seems a long time since Passenger was very kind and let us put Ed Sheeran on the bill of his Brisbane show as part of Ed’s first trip to Australia. We didn’t know when we asked that they were good mates, but it was the sort of favour mates do.

It was nice to see the favour returned when Ed came back for his first ever big tour in Australia, and Mike didn’t disappoint. The audience were spellbound and hung on every note, and gave Passenger a huge cheer when he came back for a duet.

And it’s equally gratifying to see that Passenger now has a huge hit across Europe with this beautiful song: 
 

And the strange thing is it’s great but it isn’t a particular highlight of his live show. It’s just one of many beautiful moments from an album you should check out (and judging by iTunes lots of people are)
 

(And btw when you are done with that Ed also introduced us to Foy Vance’s wonderful Guiding Light so that’s worth a look too)
