So it's already well-known that Drake, one of the biggest musicians on the planet, got his start on Degrassi as Jimmy Brooks. Old news.
However, what wasn't known, until today at least, was that around the same time Drake recorded covers of hip-hop classics for Superstarz Kids, who cover popular songs for children. The album comes from 2006, about the same time Drake released Room For Improvement, his first official mixtape.
On the album, Drake covers Bow Wow's Basketball, RUN-DMC's It's Like That, and Lupe Fiasco's Kick, Push. We're not sure this isn't some kind of set-up.
Funnily enough, Drake included a remix of Kick, Push on Room For Improvement. We're not sure which came first, but we're hoping it's the Superstarz Kids version.
