San Francisco's Einer Bankz is making the ukulele cool again. He's performed in YouTube videos with the likes of Chance The Rapper, NLE Choppa, DaBaby and many more, with each rapper spitting one of their hits a capella, while Einer plays the ukulele in the background.
He got his start after Snoop Dogg reposted one of his videos, which saw him take off - and more and more rappers want to start to work with him, both to feature in his videos, and work on tracks together. It's an odd combo, but we love to see something that hasn't been done before.
He's even appeared on 21 Savage's album 2018 i am > i was, putting out some strings for out for the night, which ended up with a feature from Travis Scott.

He's continued making his videos even in quarantine, linking up with the likes of Aussie wunderkind The Kid Laroi, Jack Harlow and more to record collabs over FaceTime - a fair effort, if you ask us.
Speaking to XXL back in 2018, he says his end goal is to be known as "the guy who does strings", saying, "wanna be the artists who’s playing strings on hits. I wanna be on radio hits and production, do what I’m doing and take it to the next level and be known as the guy who does strings. Being known as one of the greats of their own instruments."
He's well on the way to that goal, as he's produced for rappers like the aforementioned 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Dave East and more, and was nominated for a Grammy for his work on i am > i was.
