Facebook and Instagram are glorious time wasters to the point where we can close the app only to open it 5 seconds later with no recollection of scrolling previously.
Well, you'll now be able to limit how much time you spend on the apps with Facebook announcing today that they are introducing timers.
You'll be able to manage your time on both Facebook and Instagram by setting a daily time limit. You can also mute notification for a set period of time.
Facebook says that it decided to introduce this after speaking with "mental health experts and organisations, academics."
“We want the time people spend on Facebook and Instagram to be intentional, positive and inspiring. Our hope is that these tools give people more control over the time they spend on our platforms."
You already know that if you're setting an hour daily limit, you'll be locked out of the app before midday.
