Somewhat unbelievably we still have people in this country who feel it is appropriate to wear blackface to festivals or dress-up parties but it turns out those people could've learnt something from The Spice Girls.
In a clip taken from a 1997 Dutch TV show, the girl group is confronted with a group of fans dressed as Zwarte Piet, AKA. Black Pete.
the girls are very opposed to the group of fans wearing blackface being brought out on stage and when they are, Mel B (Scary Spice) schools the host in why it's completely wrong.
"You shouldn't paint their faces, you should get proper black people to do [it]," she says.
She then tells the host, "it's the '90s," which is kind of scary given that we haven't eliminated this kind of racism in 2017.
The host tries to tell Mel B, "it's culture," but she's not having any of it saying, "update your culture."
Maybe we need to get Mel B out here to school all the remaining blackface apologists.
