Gorillaz have teamed up with slowthai and Slaves to release the first song from their new cartoon music contraption, Song Machine.
The band, which features 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel, will be releasing episodes from Song Machine as and when they happen, and will see the band joined by an ever-changing roster of collaborators

The first track from the series is Momentary Bliss, which sees the quartet teaming up with two of the UK's finest acts to produce utter chaos. What else would you expect from Gorillaz?
The release of the track sees the band return after the release of their fifth album, The Now Now. They're also recognised by the Guinness Book Of World Records as the planet's Most Successful Virtual Act, which is a big honour indeed.
Gorillaz' drummer Russel says, “Song Machine is a whole new way of doing what we do. Gorillaz breaking the mould ‘cos the mould got old. World is moving faster than a supercharged particle, so we’ve gotta stay ready to drop. We don’t even know who’s stepping through the studio next. Song Machine feeds on the unknown, runs on pure chaos. So whatever the hell’s coming, we’re primed and ready to produce like there’s no tomorrow. Y’know, just in case…”
