Back in August, we were introduced to a brand new artist out of Brisbane called Hartley, who burst into our lives with an outstanding single called Used To. Now the pink-haired singer/songwriter/producer has dropped another new song called Mind, and it may be even more intoxicating than Used To.
Mixed by Sydney producer Cassian, Mind continues the subtle drum'n'bass influence we saw in her debut single, all the while showcasing the endearing vulnerability that makes her music so special.
INTERVIEW: Meet Hartley, Whose Debut Single 'Used To' Just Blew Us Away
We've all been there, sitting at home wondering if the person we're into is thinking about us too, but Hartley's somehow packaged those thoughts up into a reflective three minutes that we wanna sway to on a dancefloor.
"Mind came from a place of overthinking and daydreaming, which I do far too often. It’s a reflection on all the time I wasted thinking about somebody, wondering if they were thinking of me too.
"Cassian gave Mind the room it needed to breathe. We locked down the studio for a week to mix and I got to watch him make my music shine. He's a genius - I kept joking with him that I trusted him with my life," Hartley laughs.
