    2019's very first Like A Version has not let us down, with Wollongong duo Hockey Dad teaming up with Brisbane shoegaze rocker Hatchie to turn Macy Gray's iconic I Try into an indie rock duet.

    The classic 1999 chart-topper really suits the complimenting voices of Zach Stephenson and Hatchie's Harriette Pilbeam, so much so that we're wondering why no one had turned the song into a duet already in its 20 years of existence. 

    We also love the slight bluesy tinge the three pals have brought to the track. And how about that key change during the second last chorus? We hope Macy Gray gets wind of this one!

    For their original, Hockey Dad also took on Join The Club from 2018's record Blend Inn. Check both out below!
