Rising Aussie singer/songwriter/producer Jack Gray is following up the releases of songs My Hands, Drunk and Down Side Of Up with news of his debut EP, Nights Like This, due out on May 31st.
It'll be the young star's first official release and will house the new song Take Our Time which he's also released today.
Jack says, "Take Our Time is a song about dealing with life's transitions. Just about the time all my friends were getting ready to head off to university, I had an opportunity to go on the road and start playing live shows around Australia, which was a dream come true for me.
"I had met someone, as you do, just before I hit the road. Those first couple of weeks touring were really tough. Long distance relationships suck. I started to notice all my friends starting to struggle with the same balancing act, and so Take Our Time was born.”
INTERVIEW: Jack Gray On His First Demo, Biggest Influences & More
Jack's been winning over hearts all over the US as national support for Dean Lewis, and now he's returning home for some headline shows of his own in his home country. He'll be touring Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from June 27th to June 29th, and have his debut EP out by then too.
"The release of my first EP Nights Like This is the culmination of an amazing journey. What’s cool about this first release, as a writer and producer, I had the ability to obsess over every guitar part, every bass line, every drum beat and most importantly, every lyric. I’ve been living with these songs for the better part of a year and I’m excited they’ve gotten to the place that I’ve been hearing them in my head.”
It's exciting times for the 20-year-old, so keep an eye on Jack.
