Introspective, groovy, futuristic, campy - these are all adjectives we could use for Joji's brand new music video for Sanctuary, but we're gonna settle with the sentence: "such a vibe".
Starring as Captain Joji in a ship that definitely looks like it's drawn inspiration from the likes of Star Trek or early Star Wars, the clip is all hammy drama, so-bad-it's-good special effects and nostalgic grainy shots, but all in all suits the song's sense of longing really well.
The Japanese-Australian singer/rapper turned heads with his single Slow Dancing In The Dark last year off his debut album Ballads 1 and now Sanctuary is another track that shows Joji going from strength to strength.
Part of the 88rising collective that also boasts AUGUST 08 and Rich Brian, Joji is definitely one to watch this year - we're hoping Sanctuary is the start of a lot of new music from the 26-year-old.
