Kendrick Lamar is one of the best rappers to ever do it, so you'd have to be pretty brave to want to flex your skills in front of him. That's especially the case if you're a 16-year-old rapper that hasn't really found their sound yet.
TikTok user and rapper @fraktheperson (aka Frak) took to TikTok to post a video about the time the 16-year-old version of himself was in a Google Hangout with Kendrick, and he freestyled for him.
His freestyle includes a shoutout to Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, and it's all a cappella, which makes it just a tad awkward - especially when he was meant to ask him a question instead of freestyling.
In all fairness to him, it's not that bad of a freestyle. It's just painful watching everyone sit there without reacting. However, at the end of it, Kendrick seems pretty impressed, and asked Frak how long he's been rapping, so all's well that ends well.
It's also a good reminder to shoot your shot when you've got the opportunity. Who knows if Frak would have regretted it more not having rapped for Kendrick while he had the chance?
Check out the video for yourself below. Sometimes, when you've only got one opportunity, you have to take it. Frak certainly did that, and we're glad the moment was recorded.
