Kid Cudi is always looking his best, and his outfits for his recent Saturday Night Live performances took things to a whole new level.

Cudi played two tracks, Tequila Shots and Sad People, and used the occasion to pay tribute to Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain.

For the Sad People performance, Cudi wore a floral dress that's similar to a famous outfit of Cobain's, and he threw in a curtsy for good measure.

Meanwhile, during the Tequila Shots performance Cudi was rocking a green cardigan that Cobain made famous during Nirvana's MTV Unplugged performance.

Twitter users picked up on the similarities between Cobain's signature outfits and what Cudi wore for the performances, and they were absolutely loving it.

It's been 27 years since Kurt Cobain died. Which as of last week is now longer than he was alive.

Posting about the dress, Cudi says it was inspired by Cobain, and designed by Virgil Abloh. He wrote, "Virgil designed the dress for me.  I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt w a floral print sundress and this man made a masterpiece.  Thank You @virgilabloh ur a fuckin genius!!  Love you man we did it!!!"

Cudi also tweeted good news for fans of the dress, as you'll be able to get it yourself through Off-White.

It's not just through his outfits that Cudi's paid tribute to Cobain. Hey actually has a tattoo of Kurt Cobain on his arm that was done by tattoo artist Doctor Woo.
