Lorde has been quiet for a little while, but she's let fans know what she's been up to in the latest edition of her newsletter - and it's great news.
She's shared the news that she's been busy working on the follow-up to 2017's Melodrama, and she's excited by what she's making, saying, “The work is so fucking good, my friend. I am truly jazzed for you to hear it.”

Following the death of her dog Pearl, Lorde pushed back the release of the new album, but in December of last year, she started going to the studio again "just for something to do, and to my surprise, good things came out".
She's been working with Jack Antonoff again, who worked on Melodrama, and things are starting to take shape even during the current coronavirus pandemic.
She's not sure if she's going to tour again, but she is excited about performing, recording videos, and speaking to people about the album, which is exciting.
Lorde also gave a shoutout to her fans who are desperate for new music, saying, “I understand — I want nothing more than to feed you treats, pop perfect morsels straight into your little mouths.
“But as I get older I realise there’s something to be said for the pleasant feeling of waiting for something of quality to become available to you."
