    A cryptic ad has aired on television in New Zealand that suggest a new Lorde single is coming on Friday.

    The advertisement was filmed by someone watching tele at the time and it features a very, very short snippet of what is probably new music.

    In the ad, Lorde is in the back of a car sipping on soda before the date 3.3.17 pops up. 

    She's yet to confirm this herself but a number of things have suggested that she's releasing new music soon. The most solid proof we have is that she's booked in to play Saturday Night Live on 11th March which means she'll play not one but two songs.

    It will be the first new music we've had from Lorde since Yellow Flicker Beat released back in 2014.
