Lupe Fiasco has always done things a little differently - and that includes how he interacts with fans.
A fan recently slid into his DMs to complain about Lupe ignoring his Instagram Live comments, which Lupe screenshotted and uploaded to his Instagram.

The fan wrote "Damn man. We the fans made u rich and u don’t even have decency to acknowledge us, that’s so wrong man. ur doing it wrong," to which Lupe responded with "Acknowledgement."
Not content with putting him on blast on Instagram, Lupe then hopped into the booth and recorded Pat On The Back, a freestyle interlacing Eminem's Stan instrumental with some facts about how much a fan actually contributes to their bank account.
It's enlightening hearing an artist's perspective on a fan's contribution to their career - Lupe manages to keep it light, while laying down some truths.
Spitting lyrics like "You pay like $10 to keep it real/If you bought every album that would probably be like 50 or 60/If you did a show, that's another 35/That's less than $100, that's not enough to keep us alive", we're letinto Lupe's life - it's a great way to clap back at an entitled fan, without being TOO savage.
