There's definitely something bittersweet about being gifted an album from Mac Miller while he's no longer here. Circles arrived on Friday just a week after it was announced by Mac's family and we were lucky enough to attend a Sydney listening session on Thursday night, hours before the rapper's final album was released to the world.
With street artist Reubzz on hand to paint a photo of Mac Miller live in the room, about 150 lucky fans gathered to hear Swimming and Circles back to back, reminisce on why they loved Mac's music and fill themselves up on chicken and Hennessy and dry.
The messages you guys left about Mac when entering the competition were also utilised in a hanging installation.
Bittersweet though it may have been, there was definitely a feeling of celebration in the air - Mac left us with something beautiful and we will always have his work to listen to forever.
