One of the most progressive women in hip-hop, Missy Elliott has been kicking it with her amazing rhymes, banging beats and badass attitude for years and years now. And this May, Missy's going to be honoured with the title she deserves - Dr Missy Elliott.
The five-time Grammy winner will be receiving an honorary Doctorate of Music from the famous Berklee College Of Music, alongside Justin Timberlake and award-winning musical Hamilton's Alex Lacamoire.
Missy will become the first female hip-hop artist to receive an honorary doctorate from the university, which will be awarded for her "achievements and influences in music, and for [her] enduring global impact" - just recently she was the first female hip-hop artist to be admitted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
It'll all go down on May 11th for the three musicians and we're so keen for Missy to get this baller title!
I am soooooo HUMBLED! https://t.co/ouUZnqflAN
