Emos around the world are shaking in their boots as My Chemical Romance have resurrected themselves with a heap of vague teasers, videos and symbols over the last few months. They've all been witchy as hell but today the band has dropped an actual 13-minute film featuring ouija boards, unsettling symbols, vampires and creepy masked houseguests and now we know it's definitely emo season, baby.
The video dropped early this morning - titled A Summoning... it features more wordless new music from the band as well as a bunch of references to their past music videos. There's the ballerina from Helena, the Draculoids from Danger Days and the famous Demolition Lovers from their debut, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.
It's super cinematic - though creepy - and was executive produced by Gerard Way himself. The video dropped with an announcement of a huge tour around the US; it'll be their first in nine years.
Of course, My Chemical Romance are also headed our way for Download Festival this March in Australia. We absolutely cannot wait to see what they have in store for us.
Hear that? We're being summoned.
