Perth/Boorloo singer-songwriter NXLLY is getting ready to release her debut EP, FaKe LuV, and it's a project that'll resonate with Australian R&B fans. It's the perfect soundtrack for a late-night drive to meet up with that someone special. It's also a celebration of the talented female R&B artists that call Perth home.
NXLLY is at home when she's on her own on the hypnotising TELL ME and I KNOW, but she's also able to bring the best out of the trio of artists that feature on the EP. Melding elements of R&B and drill, NXLLY's debut EP is a cohesive project that you'll lose yourself in from start to end. We're excited to be premiering FaKe LuV right now!
FaKe LuV features the confident I GOTCHU, a collaboration with Brazen Barbie. Brazen Barbie's verse is a reminder that you have to know your self-worth - don't let someone bring you down. Speaking about the collaboration, NXLLY explains, “This song was actually created at the last minute, in 3 hours and made it onto the EP, it was too good not to release soon. We created this song with 2 points of view of a female's perspective in a one-sided relationship.”
PULL UP ON ME features Vmarie, who's previously worked with NXLLY on 2021's Complex. The pair feed off each other's energy, and while PULL UP ON ME may be a slower track on the surface, don't get lulled into a false sense of security. If you pull up on Vmarie and NXLLY, you're taking a big risk. Consider yourself warned. The Lxdy Z-featuring YOU DONT KNOW is cinematic and throws back to classic R&B of the 2000s. The strings that feature on YOU DONT KNOW make it an instant highlight of the project.

You can check out FaKe LuV above. Let yourself sink into the grooves present across the EP and get ready to embrace your feelings. If you've found yourself thinking about someone a lot lately, then FaKe LuV will set you straight (or amplify those feelings). Either way, it's an exciting project from an artist that's part of the new wave that's propelling Australian R&B forward.
