Byron Bay-born pop prodigy Oliver Cronin has entered the next stage in his already-illustrious career with the release of his latest musical collection For now..., created with the aid of his fans.
Having been in the music game for a few years now, it was just a few months ago that Cronin's profile truly blew up, thanks mainly to his viral hit Boys Don't Cry. With close to three million streams on Spotify alone (after reaching 100k in just 24 hours), the track has quickly helped Cronin become something of a global phenomenon in the music world.
But it's not just on the airwaves that he's been seeing plenty of success, with his social media presence allowing him to keep in constant contact with diehard fans. One of these platforms is the ubiquitous TikTok, where he boasts close to 200k fans, frequently going Live in order to share livestreams and getting in direct contact with his fans.
Soon enough, these livestreams proved fruitful, with musical ideas soon taking hold and quickly growing from there. In fact, they grew so quickly that he's now managed to share his latest release, with For now... serving as a collection of the tracks created as a result of these livestreams with the input of his followers.
"For now... is a gift for the core fans," Cronin said alongside its release. “All of the tracks were made from scratch on TikTok live with the help of the fans and then proceeded to blow up on TikTok.
"They were a part of the process from start to finish," he added. "It’s a present to all the fans for being so supportive and patient, as well as being a little taste of what’s to come."

The three-track collection includes the likes of Lifestyle, Trapped In L.A., and Memories, the latter of which comes paired with a visual directed by 2poundfish. Though it's unclear of what exactly Cronin has in mind when he speaks of the new release being "a little taste of what’s to come", we can't help but think it's going to be him taking it to the next step ad going stratospheric.
