If you're not yet across emo-pop quartet Openside, let us fill you in. They're basically our hemisphere's answer to Paramore, concocting kaleidoscopic, fun pop-rock tunes with energy, led by green-haired vocal powerhouse Possum.
The band have already supported the likes of Panic! At The Disco, Twenty One Pilots, Ellie Goulding and Fall Out Boy on their New Zealand tours and now the four-piece are headed to Australia for their first headline shows across the ditch.
“We want people to know that we’re a pop band with a punk attitude - especially in our live show,” says drummer George Powell. “The shows are high energy, and a place that you can let go of all the things in life that are weighing you down. It’s just as much that for us as well.”
Expect to hear tunes like their new electro-pop jam FCK U, Waiting For Love, Character Flaws and more - they're hitting up Melbourne's Colour Club on December 6th and Sydney's Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar on December 7th.
