Germany-born, Meanjin/Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Paulina is getting ready to release her new single, Untouched. It's a call to be true to oneself, rather than putting on a façade. Finding that person you can be 100% truthful with is a special feeling.
Produced by Tim Bettison and Luke Jenkins, the song's shimmering production gives Paulina's vocals the space to shine. Paulina's vocal performance on Untouched is utterly captivating, holding the listener's attention until the very last note. We're premiering the track now, so check it out below!
Speaking about Untouched, Paulina says, "Untouched is about a secret bond between two people who embrace vulnerability, safety and trust. It focuses on one being the person the other can confide in during the night, and the purity of their good intentions. You could say this song is an act of love.”
Untouched follows on from recent singles Nobody and Parasite, building on the pop sensibilities displayed in those tracks. The 17-year-old artist recently won the Youth Award (Ages 10-17) at the 2022 Queensland Music Awards, taking out the category for her 2021 single Parasite. Influenced by the likes of Jorja Smith and Amy Shark, there's a timeless quality to Paulina's music, and that shines through on Untouched. It's polished pop of the highest order.
