Sometimes we can't have the partner of our dreams and they have to remain exactly that - as a figment of our dreams. For some people, their dreams transcend to their phone lockscreen so that they can admire their fictional loves-of-their-lives in between checking Instagram likes and work emails.
Lockscreens are often dedicated to people's real partners, which can make the celebrity-as-your-lockscreen trend to be confusing for some folk.
When Twitter user Dylan B Jones shared his experience of a Tesco cashier mistaking his lockscreen (Emily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada) for his real-life girlfriend, many people came out of the woodwork with similar experiences. See below for some lols.
